Want to make a positive change to your life but need help finding training and work opportunities?
Our Opportunity Pathways program supports social housing tenants and their household members to access practical and financial assistance, training, and work opportunities to help them prepare for employment, find a job, work more hours, or improve their employment options.
This is a free service and available in Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo and surrounds.
Is Opportunity Pathways For You?
To access this program, you need to be:
Aged 17 or older
Living in social, community or Aboriginal housing as the head of the household or as a household member
An approved social housing applicant, or;
Receiving a Rent Choice subsidy
Willing and motivated to take part in a training, employment and housing plan that we will develop with you
What We Can Offer You
Our personal Program Coaches provide advice and one-on-one support to help you work towards your training, employment and housing independence goals. This includes:
Receiving help with resume writing, computer literacy and interview skills
Connecting you with local employers to gain work experience and paid job opportunities
Accessing local training opportunities
Providing financial assistance to help you complete the Opportunity Pathways program
Opportunity Pathways is funded by the NSW Government, Family and Community Services.
