White Tie Ball

White Tie Ball

Thank you to our community.

On Saturday, 18 October 2025, Plus Community hosted its 8th annual White Tie Ball – and what a night it was! With tickets selling out within weeks of release, a record 400 guests gathered to raise vital funds for The Orchard Orange, a refuge for women and children escaping domestic and family violence.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from the community, a record breaking $163,000 was raised to support the ongoing work of The Orchard.

The event was backed by 40 generous sponsors and over 100 local businesses and individuals who contributed to fundraising raffles, live and silent auctions, and the highly anticipated Lucky Gift Bags. Every dollar raised goes directly towards helping the women and children who turn to The Orchard for support in times of crisis.

Since opening its doors in 2021, The Orchard has provided safe accommodation and support services to over 340 women and children. As a facility that receives no government funding for operations, community events like the White Tie Ball are essential to keeping its doors open and its services running.

The success of the White Tie Ball is a credit to the dedicated Orchard Fundraising Committee: Julianne Potts (Chair), Libby Seaman, Kylie McCloskey, Chris Scoins, Lauren Dwyer, Bernadette Allen, Jenna Hattersley, Toni Parker and Rochelle Monaghan.

“Without this place I honestly don't know where we would be right now. The Orchard has helped me overcome my fears and helped me get to a better place in my sons and my life.” says an Orchard resident (name withheld to protect identity)
