Our Community Education Programs

Empower your workplace to make a difference.

Domestic and Family Violence doesn’t stay at home – it impacts the workplace, affecting the health, safety, wellbeing, performance and productivity of employees.

Each year, domestic and family violence costs Australian businesses more than $1.5 billion, with thousands of incidents reported across the Central West.

The DV Project is designed for businesses, organisations and workplaces that want to take proactive steps to support employees affected by domestic and family violence.

It’s suitable for:

  • Employers and managers seeking to build safer, more inclusive workplaces.
  • HR and wellbeing teams aiming to strengthen support policies and procedures.
  • Staff champions or leaders looking to improve awareness and response across their organisation.

Through the program, your business can:

  • Support employees experiencing DV with access to confidential, expert assistance.
  • Reduce HR costs by improving staff retention and reducing absenteeism.
  • Increase productivity through early intervention and a stronger workplace culture.
  • Build confidence for staff and managers to recognise, respond and refer.
  • Foster a safe environment where employees feel supported to disclose and seek help.

What’s included

  • Practical resources and information for staff and managers.
  • Training and workshops to build awareness and response capability.
  • Policy guidance and templates to develop or strengthen your DV Policy.
  • Ongoing partnership and local support from domestic and family violence specialists.

The Shark Cage Program helps women understand, prevent and heal from experiences of violence. Grounded in the principles of Universal Human Rights, this empowering program uses the metaphor of a ‘shark cage’ to help women recognise unsafe behaviour, challenge victim-blaming attitudes, and strengthen personal boundaries.

Who is this program for?

This group is designed for women who have experienced more than one instance of abuse or violence in their lives. It offers a safe, respectful space to connect with others, gain insight, and rebuild confidence and strength.

What you’ll learn:

Over eight supportive and informative sessions, trained facilitators will guide participants through the 5 Steps of the Shark Cage Framework. You’ll learn to:

  • Recognise the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships.

  • Understand the impacts of trauma and how to manage strong emotions.

  • Identify and trust your Shark Cage alarm.

  • Build assertiveness, confidence and self-worth.

  • Create your own Treasure Chest of tools to support your ongoing healing and empowerment.

Building respectful relationships.

Love Bites and Love Bites Junior are nationally recognised Respectful Relationships Education Programs for young people aged 11–17 years.

Love Bites provides a safe and engaging environment for young people to explore, discuss and understand respectful relationships.

Who is this program for?

  • Young people aged 11–17 years in schools and community settings.
  • Teachers, youth workers and community educators who want to promote respectful relationships and prevent violence among young people.
  • Schools and organisations looking to embed evidence-based respectful relationships education into their wellbeing or health curriculum.

About the program

Love Bites takes a strength-based approach, viewing young people as capable decision-makers who can build healthy, respectful relationships when given the right information and skills.

The program focuses on three key areas of learning:

  • Knowledge: Youth-led, collaborative learning.
  • Attitudes: Developing critical thinking and informed decision-making.
  • Behaviours: Strengthening problem-solving, communication and conflict-resolution skills.

Through interactive workshops, discussions and creative activities, participants learn how to recognise and challenge disrespect, understand consent, and build safe, supportive connections with others.
